Full job description

Horton Building Plastics are an independently owned Trade Retailer offering the latest innovative building plastics, windows and doors on the market. We pride ourselves in the service we offer all of our customers.

We are recruiting a part-time Delivery Driver (6 months fixed term contract)

Hours 7.30am - 12pm Monday to Friday (22.5 hours per week)

Job Purpose

To ensure the safe, timely, and professional delivery of windows, building plastics and associated products to customers, maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.

Key Responsibilities

· Support loading then transport, and deliver goods to customers in a safe and timely manner.

· Ensure all deliveries are accurate and signed for upon receipt.

· Follow planned delivery routes

· Maintain regular communication with the dispatch team and report any delays or issues.

· Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure the delivery van is clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.

· Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading/unloading and stock checks.

· Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point, representing the company professionally.

Requirements

· Full UK driving licence (clean preferred).

· Previous experience in a delivery or driving role, ideally within the building supplies or construction sector.

· Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely.

· Strong communication and time management skills.

· Reliable, punctual, and customer focused.

· Local delivery drops (Cheshire / Staffordshire)

Desirable

· Forklift licence (counterbalance or reach).

· Knowledge of building plastics or construction materials.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
