About us
4 Construction Management (4CM) is a growing construction and building maintenance contractor delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, retail, hospitality and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Working Foreman to join our team.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading site operations while remaining hands-on, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to the highest standard. You will manage trades, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and maintain excellent site standards
Key Responsibilities: Site Management & Supervision
- Manage day-to-day site activities.
- Carry out hands-on construction work alongside the site team when required.
- Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with RAMS.
- Maintain programme and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, project managers and suppliers.
- Complete site paperwork and daily progress reports.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong health & safety culture on every site.
- Carry out daily and weekly H&S inspections and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, and all relevant CDM regulations.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly.
Quality & Workmanship
- Set high standards of quality and workmanship for all trades on site.
- Conduct inspections and snagging prior to handover.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet specifications and company standards.
- Address and resolve site issues swiftly to maintain programme and quality.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Working Foreman within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of general building and refurbishment works.
- Ability to read drawings and manage programmes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred).
- First Aid at Work (preferred).
