Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Staff Member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving drinks, taking food orders and waiting on tables, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Ideally we are looking for somebody who can be fully flexible as shift patterns are days, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

We pride ourselves as a community pub.

Alongside our bar opening hours we serve 6 days per week, Live Entertainment, Pool Nights, Bingo Nights and more.

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential.

Duties

Serve drinks efficiently and accurately to customers in accordance with licensing laws and business standards
Take orders and handle cash or card payments using the point-of-sale system
Maintain cleanliness of all areas, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Restock bar supplies as needed and maintain cellar standards
Check and put away deliveries
Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers
Handle customer queries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the venue

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, food service or restaurant environments is advantageous and essential
Strong communication skills and a friendly manner
Ability to perform basic maths for handling transactions accurately
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
