Job Overview

Monday - Friday (starts 6am - 8:30am / 3:30pm - 6pm)

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills within a reputable organisation. The position is paid and suitable for applicants seeking reliable employment in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites, using appropriate cleaning equipment and products.
Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest hygiene standards, including floors, surfaces, windows, and sanitary facilities.
Follow specified cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as required.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards encountered during cleaning tasks to management promptly.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency during operations.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met consistently.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions carefully.
Good physical fitness, with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting and bending.
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
Knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning activities is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
