Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Advisor

About the role

We’re looking for a detail‑focused and customer‑driven Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Advisor to join our Smart Compliance team. In this role, you’ll support the completion of Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and identity verification checks in line with HMRC requirements.

You’ll review client files, assess and request documentation, speak with clients and estate agents where required, and ensure compliance packs are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys both case‑based work and client interaction.

Full training will be provided based in our office.

What you’ll be doing

Reviewing EDD files to identify outstanding documentation
Making inbound and outbound calls to clients and estate agents (GDPR‑compliant)
Requesting, assessing and attaching legal documents to cases
Handling emails and tickets via our CRM system
Compiling and passing completed compliance packs with clear notes
Updating internal systems accurately and leaving detailed case notes
Working towards productivity, quality and audit targets
Ensuring all work meets HMRC and Smart Compliance standards

What we’re looking for

Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Confident and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Organised, self‑motivated and able to manage a high workload
Comfortable using systems that has access to customer information
A proactive team player with a willingness to learn
Able to work well under pressure and meet targets

Previous experience in compliance, AML, administration, credit checks, mortgages, financial services is beneficial but not essential.
