Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Hours: 37.5 hours, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

We are open to considering slightly reduced hours for the right candidate

As Angel Advance continues to grow, we're looking for an HR Officer to provide dedicated HR support to our employees and managers across the business.

This is a new role and a great opportunity to help shape and develop our HR function, with a strong focus on employee experience, engagement and ensuring our people have the support they need to succeed.

Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the CEO, Directors and Department Managers, you'll be a key point of contact for employees throughout their journey with Angel Advance – from recruitment and onboarding through to development, employee relations and ongoing support.

You'll be joining a growing business where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on how we support and develop our people.

About the role

You'll provide day-to-day HR support across the business, working closely with employees and managers to ensure our HR processes are effective, consistent and supportive.

The role will cover the full employee journey, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, absence management, employee relations and engagement.

You'll also have the opportunity to review and improve our existing HR processes and help us develop how we support our people as the business continues to grow.

What you'll be doing

Providing HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the business.
Supporting recruitment, including vacancy advertising, interview coordination and offer documentation.
Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, contracts and personnel files.
Completing right-to-work checks and maintaining HR compliance documentation.
Processing promotions, salary changes and contract variations.
Monitoring and maintaining holiday, absence and sickness records.
Supporting managers with absence management and return-to-work processes.
Supporting employee relations matters, including preparing documentation and attending meetings where required.
Supporting the development and delivery of employee 1-to-1s, appraisals and development processes.
Coordinating employee training and maintaining training and development records.
Supporting employee engagement initiatives and company events.
Supporting payroll by providing accurate and timely employee information.
Reviewing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain relevant, effective and compliant.
Supporting the development of HR reporting, including employee turnover, absence, recruitment and other key people measures.
Identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience and our HR processes.
Ensuring HR processes comply with employment legislation, company policies and UK GDPR requirements.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is people-focused, organised and approachable, with the confidence to build strong relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the business.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a HR Officer or similar HR role.
Good knowledge of HR processes and employment practices.
Experience supporting employees and managers with day-to-day HR matters.
Experience maintaining confidential employee information.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
The confidence to deal with sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
A proactive approach and willingness to identify opportunities for improvement.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

A CIPD qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous but isn't essential. Good standard of GCSE, A Level or BTEC.

Ensuring HR processes are completed consistently, accurately and on time.
Employee records and HR documentation are accurate and up to date.
Developing HR policies and processes as the business grows.
Ensuring employee feedback and people data are used to identify opportunities for improvement.
