About the role

To provide effective estate and tenancy management to a diverse client base, including vulnerable individuals, by working in partnership to sustain tenancies and promote responsible behaviour, using enforcement only when necessary. Ensure estates remain clean, safe, and communities vibrant.

Effectively manage low-level anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, preparing court documentation where escalation is required, and supporting wider tenancy enforcement processes.

This role is office based with a requirement to be out on patch, Monday to Friday.

What you’ll be doing

Addressing a broad range of customer enquiries promptly, exercising sound judgment and effective communication.
Manage low-level anti-social behaviour cases, ensuring appropriate interventions are applied in line with policy, and escalate where necessary. Prepare high-quality court packs to support legal proceedings.
Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new tenants by coordinating closely with Lettings and Income Teams, ensuring positive and efficient communication.
Assume responsibility for sustaining new tenancies, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and referring customers for tenancy support where appropriate.
Conduct estate and community inspections, ensuring corrective actions are raised and completed to maintain safe, well-managed environments.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of all estate services and charges, communicating these clearly to residents and maintaining high service standards.
Support customers affected by welfare reform through advice, digital support, and signposting to employment resources.
Enhance resident engagement by promoting opportunities for involvement and feedback.
Support resident groups and community initiatives in collaboration with Customer Partnership and Liaison Officers.
Complete annual tenancy audits, identifying risks such as tenancy fraud or breaches and taking appropriate action.
Resolve estate issues such as fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles promptly and effectively.
Lead on estate improvement initiatives
Recommend and implement value-for-money improvements across services.
Oversee all tenancy management functions
Conduct wellbeing visits, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Stay informed on housing trends and contribute to strategic objectives.
Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are upheld at all times.
Demonstrate flexibility in supporting service delivery needs.

Who we’re looking for?

Experience

At least 2–3 years’ experience in customer service within a Housing Association or similar environment.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Housing Officer, including estate and tenancy management responsibilities.
Experience managing low-level ASB cases and involvement in enforcement action, including preparing legal documentation such as court packs.
Understanding of social housing services and how to access them.
Experience working with a range of stakeholders and partners in housing.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience maintaining accurate, compliant records.
Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.

Skills & Knowledge

Knowledge of housing legislation relating to estate and tenancy management, including ASB
Understanding of legal enforcement processes, including County Court procedures.

Education

Desirable: CIH Level 3 qualification or a willingness to work towards achieving it.
