Job Overview

We are currently seeking compassionate, responsible, and reliable Part-Time Passenger Assistants to support the daily transport of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to and from schools and colleges in a safe, supportive, and friendly manner.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals with experience in childcare, education, support work, or similar environments who have a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.

Working alongside a designated driver, you will help ensure each child travels safely, comfortably, and with the support they need throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

Assist children when boarding and exiting the vehicle.
Ensure passengers' safety and wellbeing throughout each journey.
Secure wheelchairs, harnesses, and other safety equipment where required.
Provide reassurance and support to children who may feel anxious or require additional assistance.
Communicate professionally with parents, carers, drivers, and school staff.
Maintain a calm, caring, and respectful approach at all times.

You will travel in fully equipped company vehicles, which may include:

Cars
MPVs
Wheelchair-accessible vehicles
8-seater minibuses
16-seater minibuses

Essential Requirements

A caring, patient, and reliable nature.
Excellent punctuality and professionalism.
The applicants must right to work in the UK.
Non-British applicants will be required to provide documentary evidence demonstrating continuous UK residency for a minimum of five years as part of the recruitment and compliance process.
An Enhanced DBS is desirable; however, we can assist successful applicants with obtaining one.

Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training, including:

Safeguarding
PATS (Passenger Assistant Training Scheme)
First Aid
Epilepsy Awareness
