Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative/Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse duties alongside delivering goods to clients, ensuring timely and safe transportation. The ideal candidate will possess experience in delivery driving and warehouse operations, demonstrating excellent organisational and communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Loading and unloading goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment
Preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Safely operating commercial vehicles, including lorries and vans, for deliveries
Planning delivery routes to optimise efficiency and punctuality
Delivering products to various locations in a professional and courteous manner
Conducting vehicle checks prior to each shift to ensure safety compliance
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups
Assisting with stock organisation within the warehouse as needed
Adhering to all health and safety regulations during warehouse operations and deliveries

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or warehouse operative
Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as lorries or vans
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong organisational skills for route planning and inventory management
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety standards
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

This role is ideal for individuals seeking a physically active position that combines warehouse management with delivery responsibilities. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
