Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where your skills in serving and hospitality will be highly valued. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. The successful applicant will be an organised individual with excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple orders efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
Greet guests warmly and take their orders promptly, providing recommendations when appropriate.
Ensure all drinks are prepared in accordance with company standards and legal requirements for responsible alcohol service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
Manage cash register operations accurately, handling payments and issuing receipts.
Monitor guest behaviour to promote safety and prevent over-service in compliance with licensing laws.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure the bar is fully stocked throughout shifts.
Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments, particularly in bars or restaurants.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations.
Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Effective time management to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
A personable attitude with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about hospitality to develop their skills within a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
