Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Qualified Dental Nurse/ Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent patient care, managing reception duties, and supporting the clinical team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where organisational skills and effective communication are highly valued. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to delivering high standards of dental care and customer service.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist them throughout their visit, ensuring a positive experience
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist dentists during procedures, including passing instruments and managing materials
Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and administrative tasks using IT systems
Provide clear information to patients regarding treatments, aftercare, and billing procedures
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and organised at all times
Handle patient enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Support infection control protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness within the practice

Requirements

recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse with/without valid GDC registration
Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
Professional attitude with a commitment to high standards of hygiene and safety standards
