Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Team Administrator to join the Weymouth and Portland Admin Team. Working alongside a full-time Team Administrator at Weymouth Community Hospital, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the service by providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the clinical team, as well as the Operational Heads of Department across the locality, as required.

Working as part of a professional and supportive administrative team, the post holder will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of services. The role requires the ability to manage sensitive, confidential, and occasionally urgent information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement.

The post holder will also work flexibly to provide cross-cover and administrative support across a range of services, including the District Nursing and Anticoagulation teams, helping to maintain service continuity during periods of annual leave, sickness, or increased service demand.

Provide administrative and secretarial support to clinical teams and Operational Heads of Department.
Handle confidential, sensitive, and urgent information appropriately, maintaining discretion at all times.
Work as part of a professional administrative team to support service delivery.
Act as a point of contact for patients, carers, staff, and external agencies, delivering a friendly and professional service.
Respond to enquiries efficiently, sensitively, and in a timely manner.
Support a positive patient experience through excellent communication and customer service.
Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across services.
Organise and prioritise workloads to meet service demands and deadlines.
Maintain accurate records and undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the effective running of the service.
Provide cross-cover for the District Nursing and Anticoagulation teams as required, ensuring continuity of service during staff absences and periods of increased demand.
Work flexibly across services to meet the operational needs of Weymouth Community Hospital and locality teams.
