Part time Accounts Manager maternity cover, ideal start date 28th September. Salary £37,000 - £40,000 pro-rata (actual £20,350 - £22,000 for 22 hours per week)

Overview

Delta T Eco Heating Systems are an evolving and dynamic company specialising in renewable energy solutions including heat pumps, solar and home batteries and more, across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

We’re recruiting for an experienced and qualified part time Accounts Manager for maternity cover working 22 hours per week. Ideal start date is around 28th September.

The role has responsibility for the day-to-day running and administration of the company's finance function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, effective cashflow and credit control, compliance with relevant financial submissions, and the provision of reliable financial information to the Directors, external accountant and consulting CFO.

Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare and issue customer invoices
Reconcile bank transactions and maintain accurate financial records
Update the cashflow tracker
Credit control, including chasing overdue payments in a professional manner
Process subcontractor invoices and payments, online subcontractor verifications and submission of CIS returns
Preparation of recurring accounts submissions including VAT returns and monthly management accounts
Liaising with the wider team to record onsite daily labour tracking
Posting journals related to pre-payment and job tracking costs
Provide information for, and participate in, quarterly accounts reviews
Track costs against budgets for individual jobs and Company operating costs
Ownership of employee expenses tracking and processing
Maintain accurate data on accounting software and spreadsheets
Respond to finance related queries from suppliers, customers, and colleagues
Ad hoc administrative and office duties to support the wider team

Person Specification

AAT qualified (essential)
Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
Strong numeracy skills and high attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software, Xero (preferred) and MS Office, particularly Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Team player with a positive attitude

Working Arrangements

Hours of Work: part time - 22 hours per week (worked across 4 or 5 days. Start and finish times to be agreed with candidate)
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 pro-rata (actual £20,350 - £22,000 based on our full time week being 40 hours)
Location: Office-based, Thame
Reporting To: Operations Director
