Overview

Pink Tile Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bognor Regis to recruit a Trainee Teacher of Science for a September start.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about Science and eager to inspire young people. The school is committed to nurturing future teachers and offers a positive environment where trainees are encouraged to grow, develop their confidence, and build the foundations of a successful teaching career.

You'll join a dedicated team who believe in the value of education and are passionate about helping every student achieve their potential.

Role Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, working alongside experienced teachers.
Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become an effective classroom practitioner.
Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and personal development.
Foster curiosity, scientific thinking, practical investigation skills, and engagement within Science.
Assist with assessing, monitoring, and recording student progress.
Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Engage fully with training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

Ideal Candidate

Passionate about inspiring and supporting young people aged 11–18.
Committed to helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
Motivated to learn and progress within the teaching profession.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.
Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

Essential Requirements

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics.
A-Level grades with a combined minimum of BCC, including at least a Grade B in a Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline).
A 2:2 degree or above in Science or a closely related subject.
Eligibility to train to teach in the UK.
