Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking friendly and professional Waitress/Bar Staff to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the establishment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will possess a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately, providing recommendations when appropriate
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
Ensure tables are clean, tidy, and reset promptly for new guests
Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as required, adhering to food safety standards
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
Support bar operations by preparing beverages and managing stock levels

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and serving protocols
Basic maths skills for handling payments and cash register operations
Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen procedures; culinary experience is a plus
Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
Good organisational skills to keep work areas clean and well-stocked
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
