Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal applicant will possess strong kitchen experience, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating delicious meals that delight our customers.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance our offerings
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and manage inventory efficiently
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
Serve meals to customers when required, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks within the kitchen environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef in a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
Experience with meal preparation across various cuisines is desirable
Familiarity with restaurant operations and serving procedures is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates
