What You’ll Be Doing…

This is a key role within the home, combining hands-on care delivery with leadership responsibilities to ensure residents consistently receive high-quality, person-centred care.

You will lead by example, supporting residents while guiding and encouraging the wider care team to maintain the highest standards of safety, dignity, and professionalism always.

Strong communication skills, compassion, and a calm, reassuring approach are essential. You will need to be confident working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a supportive and positive environment for both residents and colleagues.

The Role - Senior Care Assistant:

Support residents to maintain and maximise their independence in all aspects of daily living.
Build positive, meaningful relationships—providing reassurance, companionship, and emotional support.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records, ensuring any changes in residents’ needs or conditions are clearly documented.
Safely use and support residents with mobility aids and specialist equipment, always promoting dignity and respect (e.g. hoists, wheelchairs, walking frames, and hearing aids).
Monitor residents’ wellbeing, promptly recognising and reporting any changes in physical health, behaviour, or emotional state.
Take a lead role during shifts, guiding the care team and ensuring tasks are completed safely, effectively, and to a high standard

What We’re Looking For…

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Experience in a care setting, ideally with complex needs
Strong communication and leadership skills
A compassionate, calm, and proactive approach
Strong attention to detail and commitment to outstanding care
A warm, engaging approach with a genuine interest in our residents
Identifies areas for further learning and development.
Keeps professionally updated in relevant clinical skill
