Full job description

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior experience in care is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills within the health and social care sector.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and wellbeing according to personalised care plans
Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues to ensure consistent and compassionate care
Documenting care provided accurately using IT systems and adhering to organisational policies
Assisting with domestic tasks including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
Driving clients to appointments or social activities when required (where applicable)
Maintaining a safe environment by following health and safety procedures and reporting any concerns promptly

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for successful applicants
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans accurately
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Competent IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach towards clients
Ability to work flexibly across shifts, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
