Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, contributing to the overall presentation and safety of our facilities. Applicants should possess good communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driving licence is advantageous for this position.

Hours of work is 10.30 - 12.30 Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all assigned spaces, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal areas
Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and steam cleaners safely and effectively
Manage waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll to ensure facilities are well-equipped
Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to the supervisor promptly
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to meet their specific cleaning requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning or custodial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact professionally with clients and colleagues
Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude towards clients and visitors
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
Organised approach to tasks with the ability to prioritise effectively during busy periods
