Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Purchasing Director to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services, ensuring optimal value, quality, and timely delivery. Your leadership will shape our procurement strategies, foster strong supplier relationships, and streamline logistics processes to support our company’s growth and operational efficiency. Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize costs and enhance supply chain performance.
Lead negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
Oversee the management of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to ensure accurate procurement data, reporting, and process automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and operations to forecast needs and coordinate supply chain activities effectively.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Manage procurement teams, providing guidance on best practices in negotiation, vendor management, and compliance standards.
Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards throughout all purchasing activities.

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior procurement or purchasing leadership role within a complex supply chain environment.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; experience with other ERP platforms is a plus.
Demonstrated expertise in negotiation tactics that result in cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
In-depth knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaborative relationships with suppliers.
Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data from ERP systems for strategic decision-making.
Strong communication skills to clearly articulate procurement strategies and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
