Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing high-quality beverages, serving customers, and assisting with various operational tasks within our busy café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the smooth running of daily operations. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards
Assist customers with their orders, providing friendly and efficient service
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed
Support with food preparation tasks as needed, including light cooking or assembly of food items
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and customer spaces throughout the shift
Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
Restock supplies and organise stock to ensure smooth service flow
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods
Uphold company policies on health and safety at all times

Skills

Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee-making equipment is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Ability to assist with food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
