Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers, ensuring that they receive the highest level of service while effectively promoting our products.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
Utilise upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities and increase customer satisfaction.
Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising practices.
Handle transactions accurately using basic math skills for cash handling and processing sales.
Answer customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment.
Keep track of inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and colleagues seamlessly.
