Operations Manager - Forest Health Group

Salary: £35,00-45,000 per annum dependant upon experience

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

About Us

Forest Health Group is a well-established NHS GP practice serving over 30,000 registered patients across three sites in Bracknell. We have a large, multidisciplinary clinical team supported by an experienced patient services and operations function, working together to deliver safe, high-quality primary care.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operational management of the practice, supporting the Group Manager to ensure safe, efficient and effective service delivery across multiple departments and sites. This is a hands-on leadership role covering people management, complaints, HR, business continuity, facilities and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

· Line manage four Team Leaders (Care Navigation, Secretarial and Admin), providing leadership, coaching, regular 1:1s, appraisals and performance management

· Day-to-day management of the Allied Health Professional (AHP) team, escalating to senior management as required

· Manage the complaints process end-to-end, investigation through to formal response, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and timescales, and identifying quarterly quality improvement themes

· Manage day-to-day employee relations within operational teams, addressing staffing issues and escalating where appropriate

· Work in partnership with the HR Manager on recruitment, onboarding, sickness absence management, performance improvement plans, and formal disciplinary and grievance processes

· Own operational execution of the Business Continuity Plan

· Co-lead facilities management on site

· Coordinate the Patient Participation Group (PPG)

· Contribute to regulatory compliance by maintaining operational documentation and records in line with CQC and NHS requirements

· Collaborate with Partners, senior managers and multidisciplinary teams to drive service improvements and resolve operational issues

About You

· Proven operational or line management experience, ideally within primary care or a similar healthcare setting

· Confident managing performance, coaching and appraising a team of team leaders

· Experience managing complaints or complex casework to resolution

· Comfortable working with core HR processes

· Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites

· A calm, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
