Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and reliable School Run Driver to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organised environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the community by ensuring punctual and secure transportation for children.

Duties

Safely operate a designated vehicle to pick up and drop off students according to scheduled routes.
Ensure the safety of all passengers during transit, adhering to traffic laws and school policies.
Assist with loading and unloading students, including helping with any heavy lifting of school equipment or luggage.
Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks, including tyre pressure, oil levels, and general safety inspections.
Maintain clear communication with parents, school staff, and colleagues regarding schedules or any delays.
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Follow organisational procedures for reporting any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.

Experience

Previous experience as a driver, particularly in commercial driving or delivery roles, is advantageous.
Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required.
Strong communication skills suitable for liaising with children, parents, and school personnel.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics is desirable but training will be provided where necessary.
A valid driver’s licence suitable for the type of vehicle used is essential, along with a clean driving record.

This position requires a dedicated individual committed to providing safe and efficient transportation services while demonstrating organisational skills and professionalism throughout their role.

Pay: £18.00-£40.00 per hour
