Overview

Join our dynamic construction team as a Floor Screeders Labourer and be a vital part of creating smooth, durable flooring solutions for a variety of projects. This role offers an energetic environment where your hands-on skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to high-quality finishes. Whether assisting with preparation, laying screed, or supporting carpentry tasks, you'll gain valuable experience in the construction industry while working alongside experienced professionals committed to safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of subfloors, including cleaning, leveling, and ensuring surfaces are ready for screeding.
Mix and apply floor screed using hand tools and power tools to achieve precise levels and smooth finishes.
Support carpenters and skilled tradespeople with measuring, cutting, and installing components as needed.
Read schematics and technical drawings to understand project specifications and ensure accurate application of materials.
Operate hand tools such as trowels, mixers, and levels, along with power tools like drills and saws for various tasks.
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all activities.
Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and organizing tools to promote efficiency and safety on-site.

Requirements

Previous construction experience or familiarity with building sites is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques.
Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, or instructions accurately.
Experience with construction painting or finishing work is a plus but not essential.
Strong physical stamina to perform manual tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and quality control.
Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
