Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently. The Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical infrastructure within our organisation.

Responsibilities

Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in accordance with safety standards and regulations
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimise downtime
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installation and maintenance tasks
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults
Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and company policies
Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects efficiently
Keep detailed records of work performed for maintenance logs and compliance purposes

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures
Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and saws
Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics
Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical installation or maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ)
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential depending on site locations
