Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Perform MIG welding and other welding processes on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
Work with sheet metal and other materials to produce components according to specifications.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and optimise workflow.

Experience

Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for metalworking tasks.
Knowledge of fabrication techniques involving sheet metal and structural steel.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and material properties.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
Previous experience working with various metals and materials in a manufacturing or workshop setting is preferred. This position is ideal for dedicated individuals seeking to utilise their welding expertise within a collaborative team environment that values precision, safety, and craftsmanship.

Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
