Summary

We are seeking a Customer Support Advisor to join our small team based in Southwick, Brighton.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and learning technical products inside-out.

This is not a scripted call-centre role. You will support customers with our fire safety products and systems — helping installers, engineers and end users diagnose issues, resolve faults and deliver an outstanding customer experience every time

If you’re technically minded, calm under pressure, commercially aware, and confident speaking to customers on the phone, this could be an excellent fit.

You’ll likely come from one of the following backgrounds:

Technical customer support
Internal sales / sales support
Hardware troubleshooting
Field service coordination
Customer service in a technical environment
Fire, security, access control or building systems
IT, networking or software support

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who:

Enjoys speaking with customers and solving problems
Can confidently guide people through troubleshooting steps - using a variety of platforms
Learns technical products quickly
Has a strong customer service mindset
Is commercially aware and comfortable handling sales enquiries
Stays organised when managing multiple support cases

The Role

The key purpose of the role is to respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries via phone and email.

You’ll provide multi-tiered, technical support and customer assistance across our product range, supporting customers via phone, email and webchat.

You’ll help diagnose faults, guide installations, support software systems, and work closely with our engineering and field service teams to keep customers operational.

Key Responsibilities

Handle inbound customer calls professionally and efficiently
Manage support emails and webchat enquiries confidently
Raise quotations for products, maintenance plans and site visits
Provide multi-tiered support for Fireco products and systems on the phone or video call as required
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues - (full training will be given)
Support customers with installation, maintenance and diagnostics - usually over the phone
Manage and update records on our systems
Work with our Engineering and Field Service teams to resolve escalated issues
Assist in the continuous development of our internal product knowledge-base.

Initially you will be based on site to help you feel supported in your role and receive all the required training. Later there will be oportunities for hybrid working, rotated amongst the team.

Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
