Since 1984, Parkers Building Supplies has supported customers across the Southeast with reliable materials and customerfocused service. As part of Independent Builders Merchants Group (IBMG), we balance local relationships with group expertise.

Were now expanding our team at our Parkers Building Supplies Hassocks branch and are looking for a reliable Yard Operative / Van Driver to support yard operations and customer deliveries.

What Youll Be Doing

Yard Duties

Assisting customers to locate and load materials
Loading and unloading supplier and customer vehicles
Operating a forklift (if licensed)
Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
Carrying out stock checks and reporting damages or shortages
Following all Health & Safety and PPE requirements

Driving Duties

Delivering building materials to customers using a company van (up to 3.5t)
Planning efficient delivery routes in line with schedules
Ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is completed accurately
Providing friendly, professional customer service on every delivery

Youll be the face of the branch on the road, representing Chandlers Roofing Supplies with every delivery.

What Were Looking For

Full UK driving licence
Experience in a builders merchant, trade, or construction environment (preferred but not essential)
Good knowledge of building materials (desirable)
Forklift (counterbalance) licence desirable training available
Strong customer service and communication skills
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and outdoor work
Reliable, flexible, and a strong team player

Week 1:

MondayFriday 07:0017:00

Week 2:

MondayFriday 07:0017:00
Saturday 07:0012:30
