Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to children and young people, fostering their development and well-being. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those you support, working within a caring and professional environment.

Duties

Offer one-to-one mentoring and guidance tailored to individual needs
Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort
Support behavioural development through positive reinforcement and encouragement
Facilitate engaging educational activities, including teaching basic skills and life lessons
Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to deliver consistent support
Monitor progress and maintain accurate records of each individual's development
Promote social inclusion by encouraging participation in community activities
Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure a safe environment at all times

Qualifications

Experience or interest in working with children or young people is highly desirable
Skills in mentoring, teaching, or supporting behavioural development are advantageous
Compassionate, patient, and excellent at building rapport with diverse individuals
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating adaptability in various situations
Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or social care are beneficial but not essential

Pay: £18.00 per hour
