Full job description

Charles Saunders has been established for over 50 years and is one of the largest independent foodservice companies in the Southwest. We supply a full range of frozen, chilled and ambient foods, frozen seafood and fresh meat, together with an extensive range of non-food catering products.

We are proud to announce the launch of a brand‑new, purpose‑built wholesale butchery as part of our expanding wholesale operations in Yate. As a growing company with a strong reputation in the industry, we are investing in this new division to better serve our customers and expand our product range.

About the Role

Monday - Friday 20:30 start

You’ll be working within the wholesale operation, supplying high-quality meat products to a range of clients including restaurants, schools and public houses. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

Cutting, boning, and preparing meat to wholesale specifications.
Ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Assisting with packing and order fulfilment.
Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

About You:

Proven experience as a Butcher, ideally in a wholesale or high-volume setting.
Strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
Reliable, hardworking, and a team player.
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing demands.
Willing to grow with the business as they expand into their new premises.
