Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our bar team in delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining a clean and organised bar area, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth operations during busy service periods. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry and develop essential skills such as time management and food safety awareness. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about hospitality and serving guests.

£13 - 14ph

Venue 1:30am close

2:30am shift finish

Very Busy Bar

Responsibilities

Restock bar supplies including glasses, garnishes, and beverages to ensure the bar is fully equipped for service
Assist bartenders by preparing ingredients, garnishes, and mixers as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
Support with the organisation of stock deliveries and inventory checks
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times
Help manage guest queues efficiently during peak hours by providing prompt support to the front-of-house team
Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service shifts

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Experience in serving or working behind a bar is a plus but not mandatory
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
