Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellbeing Adviser ideally a qualified counsellor to join our team. This role involves supporting individuals in improving their overall health and wellbeing through education, counselling, and personalised guidance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health-related fields and excellent communication skills, with a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles within the community. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised wellbeing advice to clients, focusing on physical, mental, and nutritional health.
Deliver educational sessions on topics such as nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle management.
Support clients in setting achievable health goals and develop tailored action plans.
Conduct assessments to identify individual needs and recommend appropriate interventions or referrals.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organisations to facilitate holistic support programmes.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with data protection regulations.
Stay informed about current developments in public health, nutrition, and wellness practices to ensure advice remains evidence-based.
Promote wellbeing initiatives through community outreach and public speaking engagements.

Skills

Strong background in counselling, public health, teaching, or related health sciences.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Proficiency in public speaking and delivering educational workshops or seminars.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to health assessments and counselling.
Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles through nutrition education and behavioural change strategies.
Organised with the ability to manage multiple client cases efficiently.
Empathetic listener with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing journeys.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
