Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team supporting the seasonal peak (May - September). The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and face-face customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation.

Hours offered Tuesday - Friday

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Assist with warehouse tasks such as organising stock or preparing goods for dispatch when required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., UK car licence,).
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, handling goods safely and efficiently.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively.
Familiarity with driving regulations and safety procedures in the UK. This position offers an engaging work environment for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and customer service excellence.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
