About the Role:

Manchester has a strong history in textiles, manufacturing, and international trade, and at Fiber Dresser UK, we continue that tradition through modern apparel sourcing and supply chain operations. We work with manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, and distribution partners to deliver quality garments efficiently and responsibly.

We are looking for an Apparel Operations Manager who can take ownership of our day to day garment operations. You will oversee production coordination, supplier performance, quality standards, order fulfilment, and delivery schedules. You will lead a small operations team and act as the main connection between suppliers, warehouse teams, customers, and senior management.

You will work with garment manufacturers, textile suppliers, freight partners, and customers across different markets. This role provides valuable experience in international apparel sourcing and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Apparel Operations Management:

Oversee daily garment sourcing, production coordination, order processing, inventory movement, and delivery activities.

Supplier Coordination:

Maintain regular communication with garment manufacturers and textile suppliers. Monitor production progress, capacity, pricing, quality, and delivery commitments.

Production Planning:

Create and manage production schedules based on customer orders, supplier capacity, material availability, and agreed delivery dates.

Quality Control:

Work with quality assurance teams and suppliers to ensure garments meet required specifications, measurements, materials, workmanship, and packaging standards.

Order Fulfilment:

Monitor customer orders from confirmation through production, shipping, warehousing, and final delivery.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and support operations coordinators, sourcing staff, warehouse teams, and administrative employees. Set priorities and monitor team performance.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate stock records and ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demand without creating unnecessary excess stock.

Logistics Coordination:

Work with freight forwarders, transport providers, warehouse teams, and customs partners to support timely and cost effective deliveries.

Performance Reporting:

Prepare regular reports covering production progress, supplier performance, stock levels, delivery accuracy, quality concerns, and operational costs.

Process Improvement:

Identify delays, unnecessary costs, communication gaps, and operational risks. Introduce practical improvements that increase efficiency and service quality.

Customer Support:

Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve order issues, delivery concerns, product queries, and quality complaints.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

At least 4 years of experience in apparel operations, garment sourcing, textile production, supply chain management, wholesale distribution, or a related field.

Leadership Experience:

Previous experience supervising employees, coordinating suppliers, or managing operational projects is required.

Industry Knowledge:

A good understanding of garment manufacturing, textiles, production timelines, quality control, inventory management, and international shipping.

Communication Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work professionally with suppliers, customers, warehouse teams, and senior management.

Organisational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple orders, suppliers, deadlines, production schedules, and operational priorities at the same time.

Problem Solving:

A practical approach to resolving production delays, supplier issues, quality concerns, stock shortages, and delivery problems.

Systems Knowledge:

Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, inventory systems, order management software, and supply chain reporting tools.

Mindset:

You are organised, commercially aware, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility. You understand when to follow established procedures and when operational changes are needed.

Pay: £3,300.00-£4,000.00 per month
