Full job description

Hesketh-with Becconsall All Saints CE Primary School, a school within the Learning Together Trust, is seeking to establish Extended Services on site with a before and after school provision for children of school age.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Play Worker to join our school and are looking for someone who:

· Under clear direction, to support the Play Lead to create high quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

· To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children placed in the provision, including those with special needs.

· To assist the Play Lead in ensuring the EYFS requirements are met and to be involved in basic record keeping and supporting provision activities.

Essential Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Playwork, Childcare or equivalent
Paediatric First Aid certification, or willingness to undertake the training.

Desirable Qualifications

· Food Safety certificate (can be arranged if expired)

Essential Experience

· Previous experience supporting or caring for children within the relevant age group.

· Knowledge of child protection practices, or willingness to complete the required training.

Desirable Experience

· Ability to use own initiative.

· Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own.
