Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and personable bar person to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a welcoming demeanour, and a passion for creating a memorable experience for our patrons. This role involves serving drinks, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the bar area remains welcoming and well-organised. Previous restaurant or bar experience is essential, along with strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently using technology in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks to customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain a clean and organised bar area, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
Take orders accurately using basic maths skills to handle cash and process payments efficiently.
Restock bar supplies as needed, ensuring all stock levels are maintained throughout shifts.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing their overall experience.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts.
Manage multiple tasks effectively through excellent time management skills during busy periods.

Requirements

Proven experience in hospitality, particularly within a bar or restaurant setting
Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours a week to include either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Strong serving skills with the ability to handle multiple customers simultaneously.
Basic maths proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts.
A genuine interest in hospitality and providing outstanding customer service.
