Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who enjoy hands-on work and problem-solving. The position involves working with a range of tools and machinery, requiring a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety standards, contributing to the smooth running of our operations.

Responsibilities

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on cars & 4x4s and equipment using appropriate tools and techniques.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and maintenance.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly tools effectively.
Assist in the installation, assembly, and modification of machinery as required.
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or cumbersome components.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns professionally during service calls or maintenance visits.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with a proactive attitude towards safety standards.
Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during service interactions.
