Job Overview
We are seeking a Semi Skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in fabricating, assembling, and finishing sheet metal components, contributing to the production of high-quality metal products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in mechanical work and metal fabrication to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Fabricate sheet metal parts using hand tools, tooling, and basic machinery in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
Perform grinding, bushing and assembly tasks to ensure precise fitting of components
Operate hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

Prior experience or training in fabrication, grinding or mechanical work is desirable
Knowledge of sheet metal properties and handling techniques
Proficiency with hand tools and tooling used in sheet metal work
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Mechanical knowledge or understanding of assembly processes is advantageous
Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions accurately
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
