Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar and Restaurant Team Members to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and excellent guest service skills, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to enhance the overall guest experience. Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong time management and organisational skills.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Take orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring prompt service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies
Assist in food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
Upsell drinks and promotions to maximise sales opportunities
Provide friendly and attentive guest services, addressing any queries or concerns professionally
Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and issue receipts
Restock bar supplies and monitor stock levels to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or bar work is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Basic maths skills for handling transactions efficiently
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus
Good time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
