Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of dishes
Prepare ingredients and cook dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices throughout all kitchen activities
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste to optimise efficiency
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Formal culinary qualifications or relevant hospitality certifications are preferred but not essential
