Role Overview

The Centre for Inclusive Money at Nest is a research and innovation centre focused on improving financial security for low- and moderate-income workers. Together our team of 30 delivers an ambitious programme of research, publications and events, sharing best practice, both nationally and abroad.

As our Business Operations Manager, you'll help ensure our team has the structure, processes and support it needs to deliver ambitious and impactful work. You'll take ownership of key operational areas including financial management, procurement and governance activities, while working closely with colleagues across the organisation to support in the delivery of their work.

This is a varied role that combines analytical thinking with strong relationship-building skills. One moment you may be reviewing budgets, coordinating procurement activity or preparing management information; the next, you'll be helping colleagues navigate processes, connecting people with the right expertise, or driving improvements to the way we work.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, is comfortable taking ownership, and takes pride in helping others succeed. If you're equally interested in people, processes and numbers, this is an opportunity to make a visible contribution across a growing and purpose-driven team.

The minimum criteria for this role are:

Experience in a business operations role
Experience of managing and tracking budgets, financial information and expenditure across multiple projects, programmes or funding streams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience of developing and maintaining operational documentation, reporting, trackers and dashboards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Ability to work confidently with spreadsheets and financial data
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to take ownership of work and drive activities through to completion
