Full job description

We are seeking confident, well-presented and customer-focused Host / Hostess team members with a valid SIA Licence (DS, Security or CCTV) to join our busy lounge in Canary Wharf.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of a premium, high-energy venue in one of London’s most vibrant districts.

Shifts

Thursday - Sunday
20:00 - 03:00

Pay

£110 per shift
Paid upon receipt of invoice

About the Role

As a Host / Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and seamless experience.

This is a fast-paced, demanding environment with a lively and diverse crowd, featuring DJ sets and live entertainment, where strong presence and composure are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner
Manage reservations, walk-ins and guest flow efficiently
Escort guests to tables and provide a polished front-of-house experience
Maintain strong awareness of venue capacity and overall atmosphere
Work closely with security and management teams to ensure smooth operations
Communicate wait times and manage guest expectations confidently
Handle guest queries, preferences and requests with discretion
Maintain high presentation standards across the entrance and front-of-house areas
Provide a visible SIA-trained presence to support safety and security when required

Requirements

Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor, Security or CCTV)
Previous experience in a host/hostess or guest-facing hospitality role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-presented, approachable and confident
Comfortable working in a high-pressure, late-night environment
Ability to remain calm, professional and decisive under pressure

Working Environment

Fast-paced, lively lounge setting
High level of guest interaction throughout the shift
Busy peak periods, particularly weekends
Combination of hospitality service and security awareness

What We’re Looking For

Individuals who can strike the balance between premium hospitality and professional presence. You’ll be representing both the venue and our team, so attention to detail, energy and professionalism are key.
