Digital Content Lead (Freelance/Flexible) – South East Asian Brand Collective

Location: Cardiff (Field-based / Multi-site)

Salary: £12.5-£13 per hour

Job Type: Freelance, Zero-hour contract

We are looking for a hungry, ambitious Cinematic Content Creator & Social Media Manager who is eager to treat our restaurants and our founder’s public profile as their personal creative sandbox. If you are looking for a breakout opportunity to build an elite, multi-brand portfolio from scratch, this is your launchpad.

We don't want someone to just follow templates. We want a visual artist who is excited to test out wild new ideas, pioneer fresh content strategies, and capture the raw, cinematic beauty of independent restaurant culture.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

Cinematic Storytelling: Storyboard, shoot, and direct visually stunning, high-quality video content. You’ll have total freedom to play with lighting, composition, and framing to make our food and spaces look incredible.
Pioneer New Strategies: Brainstorm and execute experimental content concepts. From high-end cinematic mini-documentaries to fast-paced viral trends, you will constantly test new ideas to see what moves the needle.
Portfolio-Building Multi-Brand Management: Oversee the aesthetics, posting schedules, and day-to-day management of multiple independent restaurant pages and the founder's public profile—proving you can scale a digital ecosystem.
Advanced Post-Production: Edit raw footage into polished, scroll-stopping videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Strong color grading, seamless pacing, and intentional sound design are a must.
Capture the Soul of Indie Food: Tell the real stories of our kitchens, our staff, our communities, and the hustle of the independent restaurant world.

Who You Are (Qualifications):

Hungry to Build a Portfolio: You have incredible raw talent and need a massive, high-freedom platform to showcase what you can do. You want work that you’ll proudly feature at the top of your reel for years to come.
Cinematic Eye & Editing Chops: Deeply proficient in shooting (DSLR, Mirrorless, or high-end mobile) and professional editing software (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro). You care about lighting, color, and rhythm.
An Idea Generator: You don’t wait to be told what to shoot. You are constantly pitching new, out-of-the-box content strategies and are eager to see them play out in real-time.
Independent Spirit: You thrive in an environment with minimal micromanagement. You are organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple brand identities at once.
