Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in the culinary field within a fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary ingredients are readily available.
Wash dishes, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods to uphold health and safety standards.
Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous.
Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
