Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and hospitality to showcase their leadership skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Assist in menu planning and development to introduce new culinary offerings
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to optimise efficiency and quality

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Skilled in food production techniques and culinary arts
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is highly desirable
