Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Pot Washer/Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen environment. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic culinary environment.

Duties

Wash and sanitise pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
Support chefs and kitchen staff with general duties to facilitate efficient service.
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold a safe working environment.
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures as required.
Support in setting up and clearing down the kitchen before and after service periods.
