Post: Business Support Officer

Responsible to: Cluster Business Manager

Working Pattern: 39 weeks (term-time only +2 weeks)

Pay Scale: United Learning support staff pay scale Actual £34,508.48- £49,620.12 (F.T.E £38,042 to £54,701)

Job overview

We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and operational support. Under the guidance of the Cluster Business Manager, the Business Support Officer plays a key role in providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the school as part of a wider cluster.

This is a diverse and dynamic role, supporting a range of functions including PFI administration, monitoring, reporting, and compliance-focused activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide efficient administrative and operational support across the school and cluster
Support PFI processes, including logging, tracking, and resolving issues
Monitor service delivery against contractual and compliance standards
Produce reports and analyse data for senior leadership
Maintain accurate manual and digital record systems
Support GDPR, health & safety, and operational compliance
Liaise effectively with staff, stakeholders, and external partners
Assist with HR, finance, facilities, and wider cluster administration
Contribute to projects and provide general business support across teams
