Full job description

Job Title: Metalwork Fabricator

Location: Chesterfield
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 39 hours per week, with overtime opportunities regularly available

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Metalwork Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing a range of metal products and structures to high quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator who takes pride in precision workmanship and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components using appropriate tools and machinery.
Perform MIG and TIG welding to required standards.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet customer and company standards.
Work with mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other metals as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and UK workplace regulations.
Assist with installation work on-site when required.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and project teams.

Requirements

Essential

Proven experience as a Metalwork Fabricator or Welder Fabricator.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Competence in MIG welding (TIG welding experience advantageous).
Experience using fabrication machinery and hand tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

Relevant engineering, fabrication, or welding qualifications.
CSCS card.
Forklift licence.
Experience with architectural metalwork, structural steelwork, or bespoke fabrication projects.
Full UK driving licence.
