Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our team.

The successful candidate will support our kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth daily functioning.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy culinary environment, ideal for individuals passionate about catering, cooking, and food service. The Kitchen Hand will play a vital part in upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Support in basic cooking tasks, including peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
Organise and store ingredients appropriately to ensure freshness and minimise waste
Help with the washing and drying of dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service times
Support serving staff by providing necessary items or assistance during meal service
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Skills

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is advantageous. Training will be provided
Basic culinary skills including meal preparation and food safety knowledge
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the kitchen setting

This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop their culinary experience within a professional setting. The position offers valuable exposure to various aspects of kitchen operations while supporting a team committed to delivering quality service.

The hours of this role are static:

Saturday 4.30pm until 9.30pm

Sunday 2.30pm until 8.30pm

Additional Hours may be available to cover holidays and functions.

Pay: £11.50-£13.00 per hour
